10 Ways you can help with our work

Services for Children

UnitingCare NSW.ACT exists to help people achieve independence and a better quality of life. We work to build skills, strengthen relationships, connect communities and increase education and opportunity so that children, young people, families, older people, individuals and communities can thrive and flourish.

You can’t have quality of life if you’re not making your own decisions and you’re trapped by forces beyond your control. For instance, our disability programs focus on what people with disabilities have to say and then help them achieve what they want in their lives. Our programs for young people help get them back on track with education, support and mentoring. Children who suffer abuse and neglect are given safe and supportive homes through foster care. We never take over from people. We try to help them make individual decisions and achieve what they want.

We need your support to help us continue with our work. You can help change lives simply by making a donation. Financial support can be given for a specific purpose (eg to help homeless older people) or to support the work of UnitingCare in general.
