What's New

Across NSW and the ACT, Uniting Church congregations run various local services that give people a practical helping hand while also assisting with the emotional and spiritual needs of local communities.

Due to a difficult financial climate in recent years, many more people are finding it hard to cope with the regular demands of daily living and put stress on relationships, families, and communities.

You can help people in your local area with a financial donation or by giving non perishable food items to your local Uniting Church community service.

Your donation will help:
• provide financial assistance for basic necessities to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship due to a range of factors including a sudden drop in income. Examples include: difficulty paying their electricity and/or gas bills.
• provide food parcels to those who have little or no finances to purchase food until their next pay day. Food parcels contain mainly non perishable such as canned goods; noodles, spaghetti and packet soups.

Some of the Uniting Church congregations providing community services include:

• Batemans Bay UnitingCare Pivot Point Community Centre
• Blaxland  Lower Mountains Family Support Service
• Brighton-Kogarah The Kogarah Storehouse
• UnitingCare Canberra City Early Morning Centre  Providing meals & material support to homeless persons.
• Coffs Harbour Coffs Harbour Uniting Church Soup Kitchen
